Our best debaters
The Debate Club “Status” team participated in the Cherkasy City 2017 City Debate Tournament. Our school was represented by 11B grade pupils Natalia Kolomiets, Victoria Malomuzh and Alisa Fartushnya (team leader Voskolovych Zh.Yu.). Participants competed in the World School format (Ukrainian-language track) in the senior league. In the first two rounds they debated the topic “Teaching Ukrainian Youth Abroad Promotes Ukraine’s Development”. Our speakers won a solid victory and went to the finals. For preparation for the final game the team received only fifteen minutes before the debate on the topic “Beauty will save the world”. As a result of drawing lots, our girls defended the position of denial. The team performed brilliantly in the final and won the 1st place. Natalia Kolomiets was recognized as the best speaker of the senior league team.
