11A class student Anna Inozemets took part in the national finals of the All-Ukrainian Youth Water Prize 2020, which took place on May 21-22, 2020 in an online format under the slogan “Water and Climate Change: Accelerating Action”. An authoritative jury, which includes representatives of science, water specialists and ecologists, selected from more than 100 works the 30 best from all over Ukraine, including the work of Anna. According to the results of the competition, Anna Inozemets went to the super final, where 6 works were selected, which students had to defend in English. Anna took the second place with the work “Intensification of wastewater treatment using cavitations processes” (supervisors Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Technology of Inorganic Substances Stoliarenko H.S. and chemistry teacher Budavitska S.V.). The work is practical and can be used to improve the state of wastewater and rational use of water resources not only in Ukraine but also in the world.
Note: The All-Ukrainian Youth Water Prize is a national stage of the Stockholm Youth Water Prize, an international youth competition held by the Stockholm International Water Institute under the auspices of the Swedish Royal Family since 1997. In Ukraine, the competition has been held since 2004; more than 1,500 research projects took part in it.
