UNO model
School students have taken part in the UNO Model for the third time. As a result of drawing lots, our team consisting of Ivan Osiian, Anna Panova (9A), Daria Uvarova (10A), Alisa Fartushnia and Victoria Malomuzh represented the Austrian republic. The accredited photocopier at the press center was Lilia Shevchenko (9B). The delegates worked in five committees, discussed current problems, and sought ways to overcome them. At the end of the session there was a meeting in the assembly hall where delegates adopted the resolution. The closing ceremony was a diplomatic ball in the Cherkasy Regional Art Museum where girls turned into restrained ladies, and boys were gentlemen.
Note: The UNO model is a business game that simulates the meetings of UNO system committees, and its members act as diplomats.
