Cherkasy schoolchildren completed internships in local self-government bodies.
During November-December 2023, 224 active students of general secondary education institutions of the city learned more about the work of structural units of the Cherkasy City Council. In particular, everyone chose one of 10 ChMR departments for their internship, depending on the field they liked. Among them are the representatives of our school, 10-B grade students Maria Bieliaieva and Anastasia Kliuchnikova, 9-A grade students Opara Eva, Rozina Veronika, and Alina Lekhkodukh.
At the awarding ceremony, Cherkasy Mayor Anatolii Bondarenko and his deputy Anastasia Chubina presented all participants with certificates for active participation in the internship and honoured the 10 finalists who scored the highest number of points. Heads of departments who were their mentors and guides in the world of local self-government during the internship also came to congratulate the students.
Also, the heads of departments, who made maximum efforts to make the internship interesting, useful and informative, received thanks from the mayor.
“The return of the internship practice of active student youth in the Cherkasy City Council is a great opportunity to educate a new conscious young generation that will clearly understand all the processes and develop our territorial community. I am convinced that among our interns there are future mayors, heads of departments, structural subdivisions, people’s deputies who will work for the benefit of our city in the future,” said Anastasia Serhiiivna.
We would like to add that at the II stage of the internship, which will begin on January 20, 10 finalists will have the opportunity to work with Cherkasy Mayor Anatolii Bondarenko, talk to him personally and learn about all the intricacies of city management.
In addition, schoolchildren will propose to the jury their own projects for the development of the field in which they completed their internship. Next, the commission will choose the 5 best ideas, the authors of which will adopt the management experience of Germany.
