Cooperation with the National Pharmaceutical University
Today was the first meeting of Pharm. Sciences, Professor Hanna Severina with 10th grade students and teachers of Cherkasy Specialized School No. 3. As part of the meeting, Hanna Severina gave a lecture on the topic “Chemistry of sweet pleasure”, spoke about the role of sugar in human life support, what and how much sweets a teenager can consume and what danger is hidden behind their excessive consumption, how our body reacts to sweets and what substances help to feel real pleasure, considered the mechanisms of the development of “addiction” to sweets, and also gave general recommendations on how to reduce the desire to eat sweets. In addition, Hanna Severina introduced the students to the profession of a pharmacist, its features and areas of activity, about the wide opportunities for future professional development and told about the activities of the National Pharmaceutical University in Kharkiv and the opportunities that are open to university students.
