Throughout April, Ukrainian volunteers planned to team up with Earth Day for a global cleanup. But in the current situation, it is almost impossible to realize what was planned, so the idea of ”Let’s Do It World” and Earth Day was born to celebrate Earth Day on April 22 by organizing a digital cleanup Digital Cleanup! To the ordinary citizen, waste is often invisible when we leave our households, we no longer see it. But there is one type of waste that is invisible inside our own homes is digital waste. All those old files, duplicates of photos, uploaded videos, unused programs – they’re hiding in the corners of your devices. Removing such digital debris will free up storage space on smart devices, speed up device performance and, as a result, save valuable time. In addition, removing unnecessary digital content helps directly reduce CO2 emissions. It has been estimated that billions of spam messages are consumed daily with the same amount of energy as two million US homes, and this newsletter produces the same amount of greenhouse gases as 3 million cars.
Now is the time to take up our digital lives and remove all the optional information from our devices! It’s World Digital Day cleaning!
Digital Cleanup Day invites everyone to clean their devices and delete unwanted files on April 22nd. We also invite you to participate in this important event for all participants in our school’s educational process: please take a few minutes of your time to this noble cause, and comment on the results you achieved with the https://forms.gle/sPEZEmDj231Y1Lt76 questionnaire
