Meeting with athletes
Olympic week at school is underway. Within a week, students in grades 5-6 had the opportunity to meet and interact with the famous athlete, 1964 Olympic champion Andrii Ivanovych Khimich. During the meeting, the students learned about the athlete’s difficult path to the Olympus of Glory. The students also participated in a master class in sports archery conducted by a master of sports in archery, two-time European champion, coached by the teacher of KYUSSh № 2 Oleksandr Hnatenko, together with his pupils, students of our school. During the event, students learned a lot of cognitive information about the sport of archery. We were able to get acquainted in detail with the structure of different types of bows, the range of the arrow. At the end of the meeting, the most active students received valuable gifts. The meeting with the athletes was held with the support of the NOC of Ukraine in Cherkasy region, who donated a set of balls to the school.
