I HAVE THE RIGHT!
For the students of the school, the specialists of justice in Cherkasy conducted a series of lessons “I have the right!”. The training took place as part of a nationwide advocacy project “I HAVE THE RIGHT!” The students of the 4th grades were told about their basic rights, namely: the right to life, the right to care, the right to rest and entertainment, the right to protection against images and humiliation, the right to express their views and others. They also spoke about the first significant binding international law document on a broad list of children’s rights – the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. Also, during the lessons, the children filled out the “Rights of the Child” card, played games on legal topics and guessed the rights of the heroes. They had a legal lesson “I have the right!” bullying is a manifestation of aggression followed by intimidation, harassment and threats, moral humiliation. In the lesson, students actively discussed the behavior of children, what to do if they witnessed a bullying or bullying victim and who should be informed and what to do. Pupils received booklets “Stop Bullying Together!”
