Water prize – 2018
Alina Bezhuba, Yelyzaveta Tsyhannyk, students of class 11B and 10A class student Vladyslav Babienko took part in the final of the All-Ukrainian Juvenile Water Prize – 2018 in Kyiv. Alina and Yelyzaveta presented the work “Hydrometallurgical method for extracting zinc from chemical wastes” (scientific supervisor is the teacher of chemistry Budavitska S.V. and postgraduate student of ChSTU Cherniy T.S.), and Vladyslav – “Purification of sewage of textile and dyeing production by using natural Bentonite sorbents “(scientific leader, biology teacher O. Klymenko and associate professor of chemical technology and water treatment department ChSTU Koval M.G.). Doctor of technical sciences, professor of Cherkasy State Technological University reviewed Stoliarenko G.S.
Alina, Yelyzaveta and Vladyslav had the opportunity to share their research with peers, meet and talk directly, and share ideas on water problems. Students’ works were marked with diplomas, and scientific leaders received their thanks. Participants of the contest were presented with a jar of drinking water pitcher filter, which was sent for use by students to a medical school.
