Graduation in “School of energy”
In Odessa, a meeting of participants and award winners of the “School of energy” was held. The project is implemented by Association “Energy Efficient Cities of Ukraine” (EECU). The event was held within the “Week of Germany in Ukraine”.
In the final “School of energy” was attended by students from 25 schools from all over Ukraine were among our students and energy team – Anna Riznyk, Anna Dreval, Artem Oliinyk, Vladyslav Tereshchenko and its leader – a teacher of biology and ecology Liudmyla Dovhal.
The event program included a presentation of the project, awarding winners; discussion on energy and energy efficiency in schools; sharing recommendations on the implementation of energy conservation measures; Eco Quest in Shevchenko Park on energy conservation and a variety of recreational activities for students.
The first day started with eco-quest where participants had the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge on energy topics, logic and orientation and compete for a place winner quest. Announcement of results and awarding ceremony took place in a festive atmosphere in a beautiful room of the Odessa Film Studio. Awards and prizes to the winners were awarded honorary guests of the event, including the Assistant Honorary Consul of Germany in Ukraine Andrii Kyfak, director of the local bureau “German International Cooperation» (GIC) in Ukraine Sabine Müller, CEO of the Association “Energy Efficient Cities of Ukraine” Andrew Kyrchiv, Project Director “Creation of energy agencies in Ukraine” Robert Kyunne and head of the “energy School” Kilian Schubert.
The organizers also held a meeting between students, to explore closer together and further communication in matters of energy efficiency and energy conservation in their schools. At the same time, teachers had the opportunity to share experiences they have gained over time participation in the project “School of energy”.
On the second day the team of the “School of energy” organized for the children walk along the beach Langeron, because among the young participants were those who had the first encounter with the sea and the city of Odessa, as well as a visit to the “Museum of entertaining science”, where students had the opportunity to -New and of interest to look at that before they seemed uninteresting or difficult to learn.
