Creative meeting with Hanna Syniook
On April 15, our educational institution hosted a creative meeting with Hanna Syniook, the author of poetic works. The initiators and moderators of this event, which took place as part of the course “Literature of the Native Land”, were the teachers of the Ukrainian language and literature Solomka O. M. and Mykytenko A. A. Students of grades 10-A and 11-A listened to poetic works performed by the author. Hanna Syniook is a Cherkasy poet, philologist, lecturer at the Bohdan Khmelnytskyi Cherkasy National University, head of creative projects and a literary studio. She began her work in the pedagogical field and instils in her students a love for the Ukrainian language and literature.
A warm, heartfelt tone was set by Ms Hanna, who, having recited a poem about happiness, asked the guest not only to tell about her biography, but also to share the secrets of how to become a happy person.
Hanna Syniook sincerely spoke about her picturesque native land and introduced those present to the most important stages of her creativity. She read poems that reflect the significant pages of her life. Those present had the opportunity to enjoy the poetess’ poetic lines, which reflected the past and the present. It was also interesting to listen to the poetess’ memories of the university literary studio, about her further publications and communication with readers on various literary sites. Inna Dmytrivna Sapozhnikova, a methodologist at the Centre for Professional Development of Pedagogical Workers, who was present at the event, reported that the artist’s new poetry collection would soon see the light of day.
An extremely friendly, warm atmosphere reigned throughout the meeting. The moderator skilfully directed the conversation in a direction that was interesting for everyone, reading new verse books and rhymed poems. It is gratifying that Hanna Syniook expressed hope for another creative meeting with students of grades 6 and 11 to present her collection. Then Inna Dmytrivna invited those present to ask the poetess questions. So the sincere conversation continued, because the high school students were interested in many things. Our guest concluded the meeting with a famous saying of Confucius:
If you think a year ahead – sow wheat! If you plan for a decade – plant trees!
If your plans are for a hundred years – educate a person.
Concluding the meeting, Hanna Syniook wished those present that fate would be favourable to them, giving everyone the opportunity to live among like-minded people, among those who understand you and share your views and preferences. She also advised creative individuals not to bury their talent, but to share their work with readers.
