It has become a good tradition for the school to participate in the European Week of Sustainable Energy. The school workshop for sustainable development is always actively involved in all events that take place within a week.
The main goal of the Days of Energy is to increase the culture of energy consumption, as well as awareness of the population regarding modern ways of saving and efficient energy use. This year, the week was solemnly opened in the park near Cherkasyvodokanal, where adults and children were able to relax at the fountain, listen to concert performances of art groups and take part in excursions. Sustainable school workshop and activators of the exovarator played with the participants in the environmental game “CARBONS”, which aims to find out how our daily consumption of natural resources affects carbon dioxide emissions.
The energy team of the school (coordinator Dovhal L.V.) held the green-game tournament “Green Manager”. The essence of the tournament was that the teams were given a task in a random order, the solution of which would depend on the elimination of a particular situation from a range of energy, however, were offered proposals for solving energy problems, by accepting which teams after a certain calculation received an indicator of its success and performance. When adopting the correct algorithm the teams should have taken into account the cost indicators of action, their qualitative and quantitative indicators. The team won, the result of which was the highest in three rounds.
The European Energy Week continues and students continue to learn about the benefits and energy savings of our planet.
