In order to enhance cognitive interest of students to the history, expansion and deepening students’ knowledge and skills in the subject the week of History was promoted in school.

The week started with the exhibition of collages “Day of the Cossacks” and class hours “Historical figures of Ukraine.”

History teacher Sotulenko O.Yu., held an hour of communication “Famous Ukrainian” for students of grades 7, regional brain-ring “My little homeland” for students of 9-10 grades.

During the week, students of the school took part in the intellectual historic marathon (at intervals during the day) and the essay contest “The history of history.”

Students of grades 4-5 were members of the historical play “All mines are called Ukraine” and the game “acknowledge our native land” in the regional children’s library for children. Young guides 8-A class organized school trips to the museum rooms for students of grades 6 “Heroes that do not die.” Coordinators of school Euroclub “Commonwealth” Semenova N.V. and Mazur O. Ye., held a meeting on “The history of relations between Ukraine and the EU.”

It should be noted extra-curricular event “Cossack paths Journey” during which students of 7-9 grades plunged into the world of the Cossack era, met with “Hetman” Bohdan Khmelnytsky and “chieftain” Sich Ivan Sirko, participated in an interesting quiz.

Week of History has created favorable conditions for the detection of acquired skills in unusual game situations and helped students broaden and deepen their knowledge on the subject.
