foreignlanguages

Day Five The week of foreign languages at school was extremely active, interesting and fruitful. This year’s week was dedicated to the theme of “Journey” and became a real testing ground for foreign language teachers due to quarantine restrictions, as we had to hold events not only offline but also online. Nevertheless, all students of the school enjoyed the activities. During the week, students participated in various quests, challenges, flash mobs, contests, competitions, web quests. Thanks to the students of grades 3-11, an exhibition of posters, drawings, alterations, project works, photo collages, and notebooks was open during the week.
The performances of the school’s English-language puppet theater left an incredible impression, where all visitors had the opportunity not only to be spectators, but also to try themselves as an actor. Elementary students enjoyed talking about the countries they visited, showing them on a map, repeating modes of transportation, studying colloquialisms and poems on the subject, and composing the British flag. First graders were weather forecasters and talked about the weather in London. Unforgettable were the happy breaks, where students and teachers had the opportunity to sing their favorite foreign songs and perform a variety of exercises.
The week was lively and full. Students not only had fun, but also deepened their knowledge of foreign languages.
