Today, Foreign Language Week — a true celebration of knowledge, culture, and discovery — kicked off brightly at our school!For the youngest first-grade students, an interactive event called “British Train” (teacher Tsarenko N.V.) was held. Little travellers created an improvised train and set off on an exciting journey through the school. At each “stop,” symbols of Great Britain — a flag, a double-decker bus, Big Ben, the royal family — and interesting tasks awaited them. Children happily named words in English, answered questions, and participated in outdoor games, combining learning with fun.
Students of grades 2-A, 2-B, and 2-G (teacher Cherniavska A.V.) plunged into the world of riddles during the exciting Quiz “Great Britain Code Breaker.” They felt like real detectives, deciphering words using images and letters. This game helped not only to repeat vocabulary, but also to develop logic, attentiveness and creative thinking. The atmosphere of teamwork made this event especially emotional and dynamic.
Students of grade 6-A (teacher Tereshchenko I.V.) made a virtual trip to Great Britain. Thanks to the informative presentation of Whitebeard Victoria, they “visited” famous landmarks of London — Big Ben, Tower Bridge, Buckingham Palace — as well as the mysterious Stonehenge.
Students of grades 4-A and 4-B, together with teacher Voitsekhovska O.V., also went on a cognitive journey through the countries of Great Britain. They studied the map, got acquainted with the history and traditions of cities, and improved their listening and communication skills in English.
Senior students of grade 11-B (teacher Yurin O.Ye.) worked on the topic of British stereotypes. Students discussed popular ideas, compared them with reality, and watched a video survey of residents of Great Britain. The end was an interactive quiz that helped determine how “British” each of them was.
The presentation of the “Interesting Britain” projects in grade 6-B (teacher Voskolovych Zh.Yu.) was interesting and meaningful. Students presented creative works about the traditions, culture, landmarks, and famous personalities of Great Britain, demonstrating deep knowledge and the ability to present their ideas.
Students of grade 6-I (teacher Kolomiiets L.M.) were treated to an interesting quiz with informative and sometimes difficult questions, which helped them test their knowledge and discover new facts about the country. The assembly of puzzles with a map of Great Britain was particularly exciting – the students happily recreated its parts, working together and supporting each other.
The first day of the Foreign Language Week gave the students a lot of bright emotions, new knowledge and inspiration. There is still a lot of interesting things ahead – so the journey continues!
