Foreign Language Week
The third day of Foreign Language Week was full of various creative, interesting and intellectual activities.
During the day, 5th grade students (teacher Voskolovych Zh.Yu.) brought spring mood to the classrooms of the elementary school with the action “Flowers Show”. Spring flowers visited the little schoolchildren, who told in English about their beauty and the surrounding nature.
8th grade students took part in the quiz game “La Manche” (teachers Klymenko A.V. and Liashchenko A.O.). The children were divided into two teams “Englishmen” and “Frenchmen”, because the game was held in English and French. There were 4 rounds in the quest. In the first round, students chose “yes” or “no” according to statements about England and France. In the second round, polyglots composed sentences. In the third round, the class had a real musical epic, listening to songs in English and French and naming the song title and artist. In the last round, students connected famous landmarks of England and France by photos. Quiz results 61-62. According to the results of the quiz, the next stop is a trip to France.
Students of grade 1-B (teacher Onishchenko M.O.) joined the musical show “English with us”. Children happily guessed the tasks one by one, sang songs in English “You are my sun”, “Family song”, “If you happy”, “Hello, how are you?”, “Friends”, performed the movements “Baby shark”, “Head, shoulder, knees and toes”, repeated the letters of the English alphabet.
Children of grade 4-B (teacher Onishchenko M.O.) took part in the brain-ring “Who knows English better?” The participants listened to stories in English about famous holidays, then guessed the names of the holidays, sang songs in English, and everyone present had a good mood.
Students of grade 9-A (teacher Tereshchenko I.V.) demonstrated their knowledge during the quiz “The World of Wonders”, practicing pronunciation and translation.
Students of grade 6-A (teacher Yurin O.Ye.) joined the intellectual and psychological game “Mafia”. In the game, to achieve success, you need to use your knowledge and skills, teaming up with other participants in the game and finding a way out of confusing game situations. The conduct and dialogues were in English, sometimes with translation into Ukrainian. The students were so carried away that they wanted to continue during the break.
Participants of the events demonstrated their knowledge, skills and ability to use their favourite foreign languages.
