Shevchenko’s week started at school. It takes place to honor the memory of Taras Shevchenko, the upbringing of love and respect for the inheritance left by the poet, and encouraging students to realize the great contribution of Kobzar to the development of Ukrainian art. During this time, teachers of the Ukrainian language and literature, together with the class teachers, will hold various events. .
During the week, students will be able to renew and update their knowledge of T. Shevchenko’s life and work at class-lessons “With Kobzar in the Heart” and in the informational minutes “Shevchenko and World Literature”. Children will be able to discover artistic abilities during the exhibition of illustrations to the works of Taras Shevchenko “We Have not Forget You, Taras!”
5th grade students will become participants in the quiz “What? Where? When? “, And nine-year-olds – the project” Read the works of Shevchenko “. Six classmates will be able to join the holiday “With Shevchenko in the heart”. At the end of the week, an excursion to the Kobzar Museum will be held for senior students.
The book’s opening session was created in the school library “Shevchenko does not sing, but the voice of the soul of the Ukrainian people”.
The purpose of the events is to add, expand the students’ knowledge of Shevchenko – the poet, Shevchenko – the artist; to educate students in their love and respect for the Great Kobzar, to the historical past of Ukraine, to the pages of the history of the people who fought for their freedom, respect for the achievements of Ukrainian culture.
