Olympic Lab project
School students joined the “Olympic Lab” project. Oleksandr Hnatenko, a specialist at the Office of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine in Cherkasy Region, visited the school and Anastasia Malenko, a volunteer, a graduate of the FLEX program, participated in the program “Agents of Volunteering”.
The 9th grade students participated in the presentation of the project “Olympic Lab”, and the school volunteer club “Vector” joined an interesting and informative seminar in the module “Volunteering”, where they learned more about the volunteer movement in Ukraine and what volunteer events are foreseen for the nearest month in our city. At the end of the meeting, all participants of the event received gifts from the NOC of Ukraine in the Cherkasy region.
Note: The project was launched in 2016 under the patronage of the International Olympic Committee under the “Young Change Maker +” program. Since 2018 the project has been updated and implemented by the NOC of Ukraine in partnership with the Coca-Cola Foundation. The project is implemented on the territory of the entire country through 25 regional branches of the NOC of Ukraine. The project includes 6 modules (business and career basics, mental training, human and Olympic values, healthy lifestyles (healthy eating, sports), volunteering, chat with champions and leadership skills), through which participants receive skills that are useful both in life and in sports. The main focus of the project is the socialization of the participants of the event (children and coaches / Olympians who are in the status of settlers).
