Pupils of the 11-B grade, together with the class teacher Oleksii Borysovych Zadyranov, attended the presentation of Oleksandr Prylutsky’s book “Treasures of Skylur”, which took place in the Cherkasy Regional Universal Scientific Library named after Taras Shevchenko.
Oleksandr Ivanovych told the guests about the painstaking, but fascinating work on writing a book full of historical events, which was published under the program of the Ukrainian Institute of Books for the Popularization of Ukrainian Culture and Literature, and thanked everyone involved in its publication.
Words of gratitude for the wonderful edition were expressed by the guests of the event – the first deputy chairman of the Cherkasy Regional Council Roman Sushchenko, doctor of philological sciences, professor of the Department of Ukrainian Literature and Comparative Studies of ChNU named after Bohdan Khmelnytskyi Vasyl Pakharenko, professor of the Department of History of ChNU named after Bohdan Khmelnytskyi, deputy regional chief of the Cherkasy Regional Society of the Ukrainian Cossacks Yury Prysiazhniuk, friends-volunteers from the Kharkiv Region Serhii Takoiev and Elvira Kramarenko, director of the Private Agricultural Enterprise “Synyukha” of the Kirovohrad Region Olha Holoborodko, senior military chaplain of the Cherkasy Diocese Father Nazariia.
Musical greetings were given to those present by the students of the Cherkasy Music Vocational College. S. S. Gulak-Artemovskyi: Petro Kryvorutko, Viktoriia Yaremenko, Nika Prybluda and Viktoriia Okhrimenko.
The lottery draw was a pleasant surprise. The winners, including our students, received books and goodies.
