Travelling around native land

Following The Day of Ukrainian Cossacks school students traveled to various parts of the country. Second-graders visited the “Zernolend”, which is located in the village Ivkivtsi Chigirinsky district. They took part in a master class on making dolls, made of clay pitchers, and got acquainted with Ukrainian folk games. Especially the children enjoyed the local food – real porridge and pancakes with honey ingredients which were produce in the “Zernolend”.

Pupils of 3-B and 4-B classes conducted sightseeing tours in the village Pischane Zolotonosha district on agro firm “Lighthouse”. First, the children visited “a party” in newborn calves that are raised within 45 days in designated individual areas. Then visited a farm where “live” adult cow, seen as listening to music, they eat, rest. The children were amazed by milking process that is fully mechanized and computerized. During the pause cheerful children looked for a way out of the maze of straw, held the baton jumping in sacks, competed in the tug of war, photographed in a suit with the letters. Quest in the cornfield left nobody indifferent. Wandering through the corn maze, children guessed crossword searched for interesting prizes.

Famous places of Korsun-Shevchenkivskyi were attended by students of 7-8 grades. They visited the Museum of Korsun-Shevchenkivskyi battle (Lopukhins former palace) and the Museum. Students learned about the historical places, learned more about the vicissitudes of Korsun-Shevchenkivskyi battle of life and the life of Ukrainian Cossacks.

The park “Kievan Rus”, which is located in the village Kopachiv Obukhov district, Kyiv region, visited pupils of 9-10 classes. They got almost to the past – a thousand years ago at the time of Vladimir the Great. The students visited the museum of wooden architecture, medieval museum, the center of Slavic literature, participated in various workshops. Especially liked the students presented a unique collection of the best breeds of horses in the world of princely stable of ancient Kyiv.
