Continuous professional development and professional development of pedagogical staff implies acquiring new and improving previously acquired knowledge. That is why during the meeting of the pedagogical council the issues of self-education were considered and the Procedure of professional development of pedagogical staff of the school was determined. The structure of the refresher program and the stages of refresher planning have been clarified. The tasks, main directions, forms, types, peculiarities of professional development of school teachers, mechanisms of recognition of the results of professional development were discussed. Emphasis was placed on the fact that the teacher must have completed at least 150 hours of professional development within 5 years, which is a mandatory condition for the certification and professional development is required every year.
Improving the professional competence of the teacher is the key to successful reform of the education system as a whole.
