The school held a week-storage of poet Taras Shevchenko. This event had a series of events.

In the school library an exhibition “Works of Shevchenko – ever” was organized and was gladly visited both with junior and senior classes. On the stand, students have found interesting information about the life and work of the great poet. Students of grades 5-11 participated in the exhibition of wall-papers. Among younger students was held a competition of drawings “For our glory is not lost.” Students participated in a cognitive quest “Marks and money featuring T.H. Shevchenko “, where students learned a lot. Significant event for them was meeting with pandorists. Students listened with pleasure folk songs and songs on poems by Shevchenko. And the students of 6-A class with Cherkasy artists performed riflemen anthem “Oh, in meadow a red viburnum.” Interestingly was held a meeting of students of the 5th grade with modern Cherkasy writer, poet, member of the Ukrainian Association of Writers of social and artistic works, winner of many poetry festivals Anna Hryhorovych. Children read out an interesting tale “Magic Adventure of pony Camellia and star children Dmytro and Nastia.” From the writer they learned of her books already published over which is where the characters take their books. There was a competition for readers of poetry of Shevchenko, which was attended by students of 5-11 grades, which were made known poetry, and those children heard for the first time. The winners were Babiienko Vladyslav (9-B), Natura Denys (11-A), Yana Pilievina (6-A) and Vladyslav Ihnatenko (8-A).

During the week, students have again touched the grains of creativity of Taras Shevchenko.
