On the occasion of the Day of Physical Culture and Sports, the Olympic Week was held at the school. It started with the “We Together We Power!” morning exercise for elementary school students. Students of 5-6 classes were looking for an Olympic fire fighting in the competitions “The Fastest”, “Race in Chariots”, “Going to the Goal”, “The Barrier of Interference”. Under the slogan: “Faster! Higher! Stronger!” volleyball competitions were held among girls of grades 8-9, while boys of the 8-9th forms competed for a football school cup. Schoolgirls of 3-4 classes competed in various interesting relay races: “Kangaroo”, “Spider”, “Planting potatoes”, “Friendly crossing”, transfer of ball through the mountain, and second classmates visited the “Cossack fun” festival.

Elementary school students joined the exhibition of pictures and photographs showing their favorite sports. During the unique classroom “Olympic lesson” the children became acquainted with the history of various Olympic sports: acrobatics, athletics, football, basketball, and others. In the classes, conversations were held about the importance of sport in every person’s life, and on the safety of life, quizzes for the best connoisseur of the history of the Olympic Games. In the recreation of the school there was organized an exhibition of postures on sports topics, and the library held an exhibition of literature “The Olympic Movement in Ukraine”.

In the course of the week, the pupils of the sports club “Cherkasy Tigers”, who showed with enthusiasm their skills and skills from the Taekwondo, and the club’s symbol – a tiger, attracted beginners to performing mobile exercises.

The week passed in a warm and friendly atmosphere and became the opening of the sports school for 2017-2018 school year.
