“Olympic Week” which was held to promote the Olympic movement, development of physical culture and mass sport, and on the Day of Physical Culture and Sports finished.

Week started with a single classroom hour “Olympic lesson” during which children are familiarized with the history of the various Olympic sports, acrobatics, athletics, football, basketball, and others. In classes were held conversations about the importance of sport in the lives of everyone.

Within a week were held many different events and competitions. Primary school students took part in a master class mixed martial arts, which had a coach Cherkasy sports club “Grizzly”. For students of 3-4 classes were held “Small Olympic Games”, and 2-grade students visited the festival “Cossack fun”. Students of 5-6 classes took part in the quest “In Search of the Olympic flame.” Under the slogan: “Faster! Above! Stronger” the competition for students of 7-9 classes was held. Senior pupils visited the Regional Museum, where they had an opportunity to get acquainted with exhibits dedicated to the Olympic movement in Ukraine. Informative and content-rich communication was a double winner of the Paralympics Games Anton Oleksandrovych Skachkov, who is the father of a student in our school. We are proud of the successes of his father, athlete and wish him further victories.

In the school library was an exhibition of literature “Olympic movement in Ukraine.” Pupils took part in the drawing competition on sports themes, contests for the best expert in the history of the Olympic Games.

All events were held in a warm and friendly atmosphere and the opening of school sports 2016-2017 school year began.
