In honor of the warrior-protector of the territorial integrity of Ukraine, graduate school Podolianchuk Yevhen opened a memorial plaque. The opening ceremony took place on 14 September in the day of Yevhen death. School family and community commemorated the town hero and all victims advocates Ukraine minute of silence. The ceremony was attended by Yevhen’s parents  - Nina F. Julay and Peter F. Podolianchuk, wife Maria, Deputy Mayor on activities of executive bodies of Cherkasy City Council Ihor Kolomoiets, director of education and humanitarian policy Marina L. Baklanova, deputy of Cherkassy Regional Military Commissioner Colonel Oleg Antonovych Veretilnyk and Lieutenant Colonel Oleg Anatolievich Zakharenko, the class teacher Iryna Kucherenko, fighting brothers, representatives of National Scout organization “Plast”, the clergy of the Ukrainian Orthodox church Kiev Patriarchate. Speakers mentioned the military way of life, expressed their immense gratitude for the heroism and love of country. After the ceremony, participants laid flowers and lit candles at the grave of a hero in the village Krutsky.

Yevhen Podolianchuk was born in Cherkasy on 4 July 1991. In three years mother had taught him to play chess. In 1998 he went to the first class of school № 3. While in school, trying to be the best, and that he came out well, what have the respect of their peers and teachers. Yevhen showed exceptional dedication to military affairs, received diploma for outstanding achievements in the study course “Homeland Security” and diploma for the strong performance during the training-field duties 2007-2008 school year.

In 2012 he graduated with the rank of lieutenant of the Army Academy named by Sahaidachny and qualification bachelor of professional military management, military control officer tactical level diploma with honors. Official tasks in the area ATO began to Yevhen in January 2014, when he and his group took part in various activities on health facilities, undercover border and the defense and protection of the Donetsk airport. He had a magical ability to compress and stretch the time, managed to do a lot planned. For his 23 years of experience gained half a century.

Yevhen died September 14, 2014 in the defense of the Donetsk airport. For personal courage and heroism in defending national sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine October 6, 2014 he was awarded the Order of Bohdan Khmelnitsky III level. He is Cavalier of highest award of Plast – “reservoir Iron Cross for his services in the national liberation struggle in establishing Ukrainian state.” Posthumously awarded the distinction “For Merit Cherkasy region” and Honorary Diploma Cherkasy Regional State Administration and Regional Council, as well as a memorable sign “For Service to the city of Cherkassy» I degree (posthumously). August 11, 2014 Order of the Minister of Defense of Ukraine was awarded the medal “Honor.” In February 2016 posthumously awarded the Order of “National Hero of Ukraine”. September 24, 2015 was posthumously awarded the next rank – captain.

Order of the mayor №29-r of 02.22.2016, the Komsomolska Street was renamed in street of Captain Podolianchuk.

In February 2015, the school museum room and combat labor glory opened exhibition dedicated to Yevhen.

Yevhen Podolianchuk feat will forever remain in the memory of students, teachers and future generations of our school family.
