According to the new state standard of primary education starting from the II semester of 2014 pupils of the second form are estimated by 12-point scale. Educational achievements of 2^nd form pupils in the following subjects: “Health Basis”, “Physical Culture”, “Music”, “Art”, “Computer Science” should be estimated verbally.

For the excellent success in studying 2ng form pupils can be awarded certificate of progress and good conduct “For high achievements in education”.

From September, 1 basic school will begin gradual implementation of the new State standard of basic and high secondary education and new educational programs of all basic disciplines.

Among the main innovations are: to provide the high level of foreign language knowledge the pupils of 5^th form will learn 2 foreign languages; we will begin to learn computer science; it is foreseen to increase the application of health protection technologies; increased attention will be paid to natural and ecological education.

Adaptation period to study in 5^th form is one of the most difficult periods of school life. It is stimulated by the combination of the changes in school medium and inner world of children of 10-11 age. They are:

• Increase of volume and variety of educational content;

• Increase of weight of multi-subject education and number of teachers with whom the pupils have to communicate systematically;

• Instead of the first teacher is the new tutor;

• The shift to cabinet system of education.

During adaptation period (I semester) 5^th form pupils should form the so-called “filling of grown-ups” which can be revealed in the new personal position:

1. Referring to educational activity;

2. Referring to school and subjects;

3. Referring to classmates;

4. In the new attitude to the inner world.
