On February 15, the All-Ukrainian forum “CAREER FROM SCHOOL: SELECTION AND PLANNING” took place in Kyiv.

The CSR Development Center, Career Hub, and Partners of the PROFESSIONAL CARD project hosted for the first time a Forum for Schools, bringing together innovative educators, representatives of Ukrainian companies and career counseling specialists to share knowledge and experience to help young people identify with the future profession. The school psychologist Olesia Rotan took an active part in the Forum and joined the discussion of issues in the field of professional self-determination of schoolchildren. The participants discussed the role of the school in choosing students of the future profession; career development in various branches of the economy; the relevance of conducting classes for students about the world of occupations, skills and career planning. Within the framework of the Forum there were also meetings with experts on guidance, career development and development: O.Yarema, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports; Head of the Department of Education and Science of the Shevchenko district of Kyiv Y. Yarovyi; psychologist, member of the Ukrainian Union of Psychotherapists M. Kalashnik, chairman of the NGO “Fatherland Union” A. Bliznyuk. Representatives of the leading Ukrainian companies supporting the professional development of youth were interested in the field of agrarian, banking and IT. The Community of Schools “Career Dreams” was created at the Forum, which will promote the professional self-identification of students, development of their abilities and planning of a future career.

Note: PROFESSIONAL SCHEDULE is a unique educational project for schoolchildren that helps them understand the world of professions, important skills and career paths in various professional fields. The purpose of the project is to make children choose the future profession consciously.
