Engineering Week
#EngineeringWeek Day Four Engineering Week is underway at school. Students explore, craft, construct, observe, and even become real engineers for a minute.
Students in 4th grade constructed catapults, learned about the history of the origin and use of catapults. The moment of testing their own products brought great pleasure and positive emotions.
Students in 1st grade made a thaumaturgy to experience the magic of illusion a little. Children’s imagination had no limits. Some created geometric shapes, and some built entire castles and towers.
Children in 2nd grade created a model of the Solar System. Students learned about the principle of the spring, on which they placed each of the planets. It is much more interesting to explore, model, and learn using practical skills.
Students in 10th grade built a model of a bucket with a hinged lid from paper cups. This is not just a model – it is a real engineering model that teaches you to think, model and understand how mechanisms work in the world around us.
Students of grade 1-B were left with incredible impressions from completing the engineering task “Cockroach”. Children’s imagination knew no bounds when decorating their own product, and the tests gave them fun emotions.
Students of grade 9-A made a paper rocket and a spectroscope. Using the models they made, they studied the free fall of bodies and observed the decomposition of light into a spectrum.
Students of grade 8-B created a “Lung Model”. Thanks to the visual model, students better understood the mechanism of the lungs and felt like real researchers of the human body.
The week continues.
