Society of Friends Club Ukraine City Bydgoszcz –brother-city of Cherkasy our school was invited as a partner to the joint project “Polish-Ukrainian Bilingual theatrical performance called” House on the Border “, realized in the morning of the competition, announced by the National Center of Culture” Polish-Ukrainian Youth exchange “.

From 4 to 20 October 2015 10 students of our school, headed by the director of the school T.Tkachenko in Bydgoszcz Poland prepared and presented the play of Slavomir Mrozek play. This project chalk successful implementation through patronage Mayor of Bydgoszcz Rafał Bruskyi. The play took place during the celebration in Bydgoszcz European Local Democracy Week.

During this project the students of the 11th class met the city while walking, studied the history of ancient European city, knew the traditions and culture of the region.

Joint rehearsals, language lessons, visits to cultural centers in Bydgoszcz and Torun to tour – all enriched the cultural experience of our seniors, enabled the bilingual communication, presentation of active countries, cities, schools which taught participants of the project.

The visit to Lisnyi Park recreation on vacation, botanical garden, zoo and Dinosaur Park enabled the students to design their own growth in the cultural and environmental areas.

In common cookery lessons learned and prepared regional dishes, sharing recipes and experiences from such a dinner around the campfire.

Our delegation visited the Third academic lyceum, which caused a series of violent feelings. The students presented the school education system compared Ukraine and Poland. The principal held talks with the director of the Lyceum Grazyna Dzedzynu of cooperation between school and lyceum. The European Club School and Lyceum were working on a new joint project.

Special experiences gained our students at a Town Hall meeting with local authorities.

Finally – then came the day – the day of premiere. Three days – five performances. The new emotions, new impressions, new experience.

So the project reached the end. The performances were played and artists went to their schools, but the experience of friendly communications will have implications for students of both countries.
