Earth Hour

The whole school community participated in most mass event in history – Earth Hour – 2017. We joined more than 2 billion people in the world who turned off the lights and other electrical appliances for one hour.

On the eve of the action, students of 5-7 classes had home audit conserve water in the home and analyzed the energy saving measures in their family. Students of 8-9 grades calculated the amount of power saved by turning off the light on the family hour and how much money was saved. The school consistently concerned about energy conservation and education community rules economies participating in the project “School ENERGY 2.0″.

For information: In 2007, the event was organized by WWF in Sydney, and then was attended by over 2 million people. The next year the campaign received global support to Earth Hour joined by 35 countries and the world-famous monuments hour became dark. Since then, the event is held annually on the last Saturday of March. In 2009, Earth Hour WWF has been recognized as the most massive event, it was attended by 4088 cities and 88 countries worldwide. In the same year Ukraine also joined the event.
