Today, the school community will join the Earth Hour, which rides through the planet from 20:30 to 21:30. On the eve of the action, during the Day of Unity and social cohesion, events were held at the school dedicated to this important event. Pupils of 6B and 7B classes (teachers Dovhal L.V., Molodychuk H.P.) studying lessons for sustainable development conducted a massive informational action related to the Earth Hour. Schoolgirls called peers, teachers and parents to join the action, distributed flyers, and demonstrated video clips.

For Ukrainians, the Earth Hour is about ten. The theme of this year’s campaign, “Getting Connected with Earth”, emphasizes that people began to lose touch with the planet, which we need to recover. Catch the connection with Earth on this Earth Hour; take care of the nature of every day, so that a flowering and bio-diverse planet is not only the realities of the present but also the future.

Note: Millions of people join the Earth Hour every year. This is an international campaign initiated by the WWF World Wildlife Fund, during which people and organizations for one hour symbolically turn off unnecessary lighting and appliances to unite and show readiness for action for the future of the planet. The goal of the Earth Hour is to draw attention to environmental problems and excessive consumption of natural resources.
