This school year, our school participated in the competition of the summer language camps that implemented the project «GoCamp – 2017″ and won.

Teachers of English Voskolovych Zh.Yu. and Voitsekhovska O.V. took part in the first founding conference on cooperation of school English-speaking camps with volunteers. The event took place in Kiev. The conference was held with the support of linguists and publishers “Cambridge University Press”. Zhanna Yuliivna and Olha Viktorivna got the information on which areas we need to work in this year’s camp and linguistic methods used. In addition Zhanna Yuliivna became a member of the two-day workshop on interactive methodology of teaching foreign languages ​​and was trained on the basics of application development of language school camp. The organizer of these activities was the NGO GO Global. The format of the meeting included group work as well with native speakers of Ukrainian coaches. Participants studied modern strategies and approaches that promote the learning of language through interactive, cooperative communication, which in turn contributes to students’ 21st century skills. Not paid attention training and Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Lilia Hrinevych who wishes to communicate with an audience of educational reform basic principles of Ukrainian schools.

This year the camp will have a new format, which is the working language is English. Within three weeks of camp, children can take part in the implementation of challenging projects and tasks to communicate in English with foreign volunteers and relax. Using a specially developed program children will be in a multicultural environment, learn to work in teams, think critically and be tolerant of others.

For information: Go Camp is scale educational project initiated by the Global Office in the framework of GO Global – a network of summer camps for school volunteers with foreign language speakers. The project aims to support summer camps and language assistance to educational institutions in developing programs to work in the camps. Currently the project involves 611 schools across the country.
