Energy efficient lighting
Our school received a certificate for contribution to the awareness of students on issues of energy-efficient lighting. Late last year, we are made partakers “of Ukrainian education in schools with energy-efficient lighting,” which was realized within the project “Transforming the Market for Efficient Lighting” with the assistance of UNDP in Ukraine and the Global Environment Facility.
In our school project is being implemented in the classroom “My Happy Planet” (3-4 grades), “Lessons of sustainable development” (7, 10 classes) and physics (8-9 grades). The questions about the need for optimal energy for life, and economical use of energy in school and life are observed. Students of 8-9 grades became active participants in the contest of mini projects on energy saving and energy efficient lighting. During the week, students learned about energy saving with existing projects. This raising on energy saving and energy efficient lighting isn’t ended. We will continue it in the next academic year.
