The entire school community commemorates the International Earth Day. The celebrations began with the ecological line on which Parliament Speaker Anna Inozemets briefed all present the work of government in this direction. Students of the 11th grade, in an improvised show, demonstrated eco-bags, made during the master class of the teacher of labor education Plakhotnia H.L. There was a flash mob “The Earth is our home”, which united the whole school family. At the end of the line the students of the school performed the “Anthem of the Ecological Guard”. After the inauguration of the International “Earth Day”, the environmental actions of collecting recyclable materials, waste paper – “Give the tree ring” and plastic bottles – “Clean city from polyethylene” started. The school community collected 5038 kg of waste paper and 6175 plastic bottles. In the campaign “Give a tree ring” the first place took 4B class (class teacher Shevchenko N.A.), second place – 1A class (class teacher Dziuba A.O.), third place – 4A class (class teacher Honcharenko I.A.). In the action “Clean City of polyethylene” won 5B class (class teacher Zadyranov O.B.), second place – 4B class (class teacher Shevchenko N.A.), third place – 9B class (class teacher Sotulenko O.Yu.).

The foyer of the school hosted an exhibition of “Second Life of Domestic Waste” and indoor plants, presented by schoolchildren within the “House Plants Gallery” campaign.

School Parliament with Biology teacher Dovhal L.V. were organized citywide round table “Ecological problems of Ukraine”, which was attended by students of special school №28 and secondary schools number 25, 26, 32.

Pupils of the 6B class under the direction of biology teacher Klymenko O.I. taught everyone to make compost.

During breaks worked an open microphone “Life in the style of ECO” where students, teachers, parents expressed their opinions on this topic.

Earth Day inspired the entire school community to work on environmental protection, solving environmental problems of our city, Ukraine and the entire planet.
