Children’s Day
Today, June 1, Ukraine and the world traditionally celebrate Children’s Day. The school family traditionally joins the celebration of Children’s Day. This year, elementary school students watched the animations and films of the eighth Children’s and Adolescents’ Film Festival “Children’s Film Festival” at the Ukraine Cinema and cast their votes for the best. High school students joined the festival online – watching competition films by class groups. At the end of the screening, the students discussed the tapes and reflected their thoughts on the films on the “Wall of Impressions”.
Note: Children’s Day was established in 1949 by a session of the International Democratic Federation of Women. It was first celebrated in 1950 in 51 countries. On November 20, 1989, the UN General Assembly adopted the Convention on the Rights of the Child, which is considered a world constitution for children. Ukraine ratified the convention on September 27, 1991, and it has been part of national legislation ever since.
