Europe Day
Our school celebrated Europe Day – a holiday of unity, peace and common values
On May 9, our school held events to celebrate Europe Day, established by the Decree of the President of Ukraine dated May 8, 2023 No. 266/2023. This day symbolizes Ukraine’s aspiration for peace, stability and unity with the peoples of the European Union. From now on, together with the EU countries, we will celebrate this holiday every year on May 9.
Throughout the day, thematic educational classes “Europe is our common home” were held in the classrooms, where children learned more about European values, democracy, human rights and joint initiatives of European countries.
An online flash mob with the flags of the EU countries and Ukraine was a special event, symbolizing the unity and solidarity of our people with the European community.
Holding such events not only deepens students’ knowledge about European countries, but also forms an active civic position in them, promotes awareness of our European identity, and strengthens the desire for peace and freedom.
We are sincerely grateful to all participants for their activity and creativity. Together we are building the European future of Ukraine!
