Every year on September 26, we celebrate the European Day of Languages—an occasion that reminds us of the rich linguistic and cultural diversity of Europe. On this day, our school’s students embarked on an exciting linguistic journey across European countries to learn, play, communicate, and discover new languages! Second-grade students explored the flags of European nations, learned how to say “Hello” in various languages, and practiced these greetings while working on themed colouring sheets. Classes 3-A and 3-B took part in the “European Language Quest.” Using flags, emojis, and teamwork, the children identified European countries and learned about their traditions and cultural symbols. Students from class 8-I tested their knowledge during the “Connaissez-vous la France?” quiz. Engaging interactive tasks helped them recall French vocabulary while immersing themselves in the world of French history, architecture, and art. Class 5-I participated in the “Guess the Language” event, where students identified European languages by sound, recalled greetings in different languages, recognized national flags, and competed in a quiz. All these activities were united by a shared idea: language is the key to understanding people, cultures, and traditions. By learning foreign languages, we discover new countries, make friends, broaden our horizons, and draw closer to the European community.
Learning languages is interesting! Discovering Europe is exciting! To communicate is to open up the world!
We thank the students and teachers for their enthusiasm, creativity, and wonderful spirit!
