Day of Ukrainian Language and Literacy
To promote the Ukrainian word, the Day of the Ukrainian Language and Literacy was held. A number of interesting and informative events took place at the school on this occasion.
The festive day began with a parade of embroideries. Traditionally, the first lesson was the first stage of the Petro Yatsyk International Language Competition. The students wrote dictation about their mother tongue, folk song and prominent figures of Ukraine. Ninth graders have joined in writing the national unity radio dictator.
In addition, students in grades 7-11 participated in the project “Our language”, on the posters – appeals to avoid mistakes in speech and expressions of famous writers about the importance of the Ukrainian language. An exhibition of newspapers and the best student notebooks has been organized on the Day of Writing. An interesting and meaningful language quiz for 5th grade students took place. High school students met with Cherkasy writer Natalia Horishna.
