Day of Tolerance
Each of us must strive to uphold the principles of tolerance, mutual respect and peaceful coexistence. It is today, on the Day of Tolerance, our school once again joined to create a comfortable environment for each of the school families. From the very morning, the participants of the volunteer club “Vector” met students, parents’ teachers were invited to join in the efforts to eliminate stereotypes, distorted representations and to stand up for the victims of discrimination, having affixed on the clothes stickers with the symbol of the day. During the week, high school students organized a thematic exhibition of graphic terms. For the pupils of the 9th and 10th grades, the social teacher Kharchenko Yu.Yu. held a training session “We are all different – we are all equal”. Everyone in the created video locator, who was in the second floor recreation, was able to share his understanding of a tolerant environment and place wishes on the symbolic “Wood of Tolerance”. During breaks, elementary school students were able to join the “Stretch the palm of friendship” flash drive. On the International Day of Tolerance, let’s reiterate the idea that diversity embodied in thoughts, beliefs and actions is a valuable gift, not a threat, and we will strive to create more tolerant communities.
Note: International Day of Tolerance was announced by UNESCO in November 1995 on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of this organization and is celebrated annually on November 16th.
