Theater Day is met with victory
Our drama club made the real present to school for the International Theater Day. In urban festival-contest of children’s art “Art Wonderland of Cherkasy Region” our talented actors won first place in the “drama team.” At the festival, Yevhen Oparin, Vladyslav Babiienko, Illia Kryvych and Andrii Semeniuk (artistic director Korkishko I.O.) presented the play “The Poet” by the story of the famous Czech writer, Nobel Prize, Karel Capek. The jury highly appreciated the acting, directing and originality of presentation.
The school, school parliament, Academic Council, Children’s Association “Land of Adventure”, students and teachers sincerely welcome Illia Oparin, Vladyslav Babiienko, Illia Kryvych, Andrii Semeniuk and artistic director Ihor Oleksiiovych Korkishko with the victory and wish further success.

It’s not just professional artists’ scenes of celebration – a celebration of millions of viewers. The word “theater” comes from the Greek “theatron” – a place for spectacles, spectacle. Theater is a kind of art, and a building intended to represent dramatic works in public. Mention of the first theatrical production dates back to 2500 BC. The first theatrical play was held in Egypt, the story served as the images of Egyptian mythology – history of god Osiris. In ancient Greek theater began to emerge as art, set clear definitions of tragedy and comedy and other theatrical forms.
