The school community, together with the entire Ukrainian people, celebrates the Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation. On the Hill of Glory, the participants of the volunteer club “Vector” laid flowers to the grave of Vladimir Molotkov, a hero whose name is worn by our school. During the hours of communication, students and teachers remembered the liberators of Ukraine of different times and honored their military and labor feat. History teacher, Sotulenko O.Yu., held a lesson-requiem on the citizens who perished, defending the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. In the recreation of the 2nd floor the thematic exhibition of drawings was opened. Pupils of an extended day group attended a school museum room, where they became acquainted with the exposition dedicated to the Second World War. Teacher of labor studies Plakhotnia H.L. for pupils of the 5th grade held a master class for the making of poppy flower – a symbol of the Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation. We remember all the heroes who put their lives to the freedom and independence of our state.
Note: May 8, Ukraine celebrates the Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation. It was on this day in 1945 that the Act on the surrender of Germany came into force. The Ukrainian Institute of National Remembrance believes that this date makes it possible to assess the contribution of the Ukrainian people to the course and completion of the Second World War, to summarize its large-scale devastating consequences for Ukraine, as well as to make vital lessons for our country today.
