Every year on November 21, Ukraine celebrates the Day of Dignity and Freedom. This is a fairly young, but very important holiday, which reminds us of the desire of Ukrainians for freedom despite any difficulties. It is dedicated to two revolutions of recent years – the Orange Revolution and the Revolution of Dignity.
From the very morning in the lobby of the school, thematic videos about Ukrainian heroes who fought for freedom began to be broadcast. The thematic video was viewed by students during information hours in grades 1-11.
An educational event on the topic “Ukrainians are free people” was held for students of the 1st grade. Students got acquainted with the chronology of events of revolutions and wars in our country. They made a postcard “I’m Ukrainian, which means I…”
Pupils of the 3rd and 1st grade held an educational event on the occasion of the Day of Dignity and Freedom under the slogan “Charged with dignity and thirst for freedom”. Together, the children prepared a presentation in which they talked about the importance of dignity and human rights. They also discussed important historical events related to the achievement of independence. By expressing their own opinion about the events, the children showed their understanding of the values that we respect and protect in our society.
In the practical part of the event, students prepared drawings for our defenders, which will be given to the soldiers with the next batch of trench candles.
In honour of the Day of Dignity and Freedom, students of 2-V class watched the video “The Price of Dignity and Freedom”, conducted a game-quest “Day of Dignity and Freedom”, made greeting cards with the theme “What is Ukraine for me?”
Children of the 3-B grade participated in the courage lesson “Ukraine – the country of the unconquered”. Each student had the opportunity to express his vision of the European future of our country.
Ukraine is a territory of dignity and freedom. It was a difficult test for our country, but Ukrainians proved and are proving their love for the country, honour and courage. You should be proud of Ukraine and it is simply impossible not to love it! Unity and freedom make us worthy children of our country. Happy Day of Dignity and Freedom!
