Traditionally, on November 21, the entire school family celebrates with the whole Ukraine the Day of Prosperity and Freedom. Students, parents and teachers honored the patriotism and courage of the citizens who, in the autumn of 2004 and in November of 2013 to February 2014, defended democratic values, human and civil rights and freedoms, in the composition of the “Metronome of Memory” at the school lobby. Class leaders during the information hours emphasized the value of the students on which worth struggling. The school library has an exhibition of collections of thematic literature. On the eve of the Day of Goodwill and Freedom, the 9th grade students met with the ATO soldier Petro Bilyna. Participants of the volunteer club “Vector” honored the Heroes of Heavenly Hundreds, laying flowers to the monument to the Fighters for the freedom of Ukraine. Students attending an extended day group learned about the heroic life of a 2008 school graduate – the hero of Ukraine Yevhen Podolianchuk, who died during the defense of the Donetsk airport in a school museum room. Schoolchildren of 2 classes visited the exposition of the Cherkasy Museum of Local Lore devoted to soldiers ATO. Senior pupils took part in the round table “Heroes and Heroine” during which they exchanged opinions and discussed the national interests of Ukraine and European choice of our state, historical events and prominent personalities, through which the world became democratic and free from discrimination.
