On December 1, the whole world celebrates International AIDS Day, which is why the school family has become involved in an important worldwide problem. From the morning in the lobby of the school the participants of the volunteer club “Vector” invited everyone to join the action “Tape against AIDS”. By touching the red ribbon, caring students, teachers and parents supported AIDS patients. The school’s Psychological Service conducted online testing of “What I Know About AIDS”. Students can get acquainted with the test results using a QR code. In the recreation of the second floor was presented an exhibition of projects on preventive topics “Life is of the highest value”. In the 4th grades the practical psychologist T.S. Lytovchenko conducted training “Children and HIV / AIDS”. Social educator, Kharchenko Ya. Yu., with class 11-B students developed a memo “HIV / AIDS – you must know!”. At an AIDS lesson, conducted by Sokur O.I., a health care teacher, students learned about a series of preventative measures to help save their lives and health from a dangerous illness. 10-A students participated in an AIDS event held at the Lesia Ukrainka City Library.
Note: AIDS, or Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome, is the collective name of lesions occurring at the III-IV clinical stages of infection caused by human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). The common name for the disease today is HIV infection. HIV affects the human immune system, while reducing the body’s response to various HIV-associated diseases.
