From October 1 to October 31, the school library “School Library – Center for Creative Development of the Child” lasted for a month. It was devoted to the outstanding Ukrainian educator – humanist, scientist with a world name V.O. Sukhomlynsky on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of his birth and was held under the slogan “School Library – Center for Creative Development of the Child”.
V.O. Sukhomlynsky paid great attention to the creative development of each child, relying on universal human values, to ensure the physical, moral, spiritual, cultural formation of the individual. Therefore, an important role belongs to the school, which is designed to form the student’s vital competencies, to develop it as a harmonious person.
From October 1 to October 26, an open day of the school library for parents was held. Before the event parents from grades 1-4 were introduced, where they got acquainted with the school library.
During the month there was a book exhibition “The Eternal Trail on Earth” (for the 100th anniversary of the birth of V.O. Sukhomlynsky).
In the 7th class, an interactive lesson was “Man begins with Good”. A meeting with the librarian of the Collegium “Berehynia” was held, which shared the memories of an outstanding teacher.
For children, there is a fairy-tale worldview, fabulous views on life and fantastic ways of thinking. In many tales of Vasyl Sukhomlynsky there is a “usual miracle” – plants reappear, they speak trees, flowers, insects and even toys. Therefore, for the pupils of the 2nd-3rd grades, the literary trips to Vasyl Sukhomlynsky’s Fairy Tale were interesting.
An exciting library lesson with presentation elements for 4th-grade students “V.O. Sukhomlynsky is a man with a great soul and a teacher’s talent.”
The month of the school library left no one indifferent. It was extremely interesting for everyone to learn about new unknown facts and events.
