Cherkasy school sports have every reason to be proud! Following the 2025/2026 season, teams from Cherkasy demonstrated outstanding results in the “Side-by-Side” All-Ukrainian School Leagues competitions.
This year, the event brought together approximately 10,000 students from 35 educational institutions in Cherkasy. A total of 285 teams competed in Stage II, while Stage III saw 194 teams and 1,260 young athletes participate. In Stage IV—the regional level—Cherkasy teams secured 11 victories out of a possible 25.
Deputy Mayor Anastasiia Chubina honoured the winners and top finishers, recognizing their significant contribution to the development of school sports, the high-quality preparation of their teams, and their impressive results.
The school staff received a Letter of Appreciation from the Mayor for the excellent preparation of the teams that triumphed in Stage IV of the “Side-by-Side” All-Ukrainian School Leagues; the award was presented to the school principal, V.I. Zavinovskyi.
Among those honoured was our school’s physical education teacher, S.O. Nechyporenko.
This achievement is a testament to the collaborative efforts of students, physical education teachers, coaches, educators, and the entire school community.
We are proud of our athletes and educators! We wish them continued success, strength, inspiration, and confident starts in the upcoming sports season!
