Cherkasy ethnographic region
Under the slogan “Cherkashchyna, you are my embroidered land, the Cossack land is free and holy” today’s day – “Cherkashchyna ethnographic” was held in the elementary school.
The 4th grade went on a journey along the map of Cherkasy, during which the students got acquainted with the location of cities on the map, formed an idea of the cultural landmarks, and developed an interest in the historical past of our Motherland and its present. The 3rd grade students searched for and shared interesting historical facts about the Cherkasy region. Cherkasy is compared to an embroidery shirt, because on the canvas of its history, like on an embroidery, the names of our famous countrymen are engraved. Cherkasy is rightly called Shevchenko’s land. The research group of the 4th grade prepared and familiarized elementary school students with the information “Interesting facts from the history of the city of Cherkasy”. The meetings were held in the form of an oral magazine presentation, during which interesting information about the city of Cherkasy was shared, highlighting important historical facts. The magazine contained stories about cultural heritage, prominent figures and events that became significant for the city. This helped younger students learn more about the history of our hometown and native land. And today, 2nd grade children visited a clearing for psychological relief. Together with the psychologist, they learned to get rid of anger in ecological ways.
