As part of the French-Ukrainian cultural project “Art paradis”, organized by Cherkasy designer Iryna Dyka, a meeting with the French writer Sylvie Ebenstein-couchault from Limoges (France) took place in the Cherkasy Regional Universal Scientific Library named after Taras Shevchenko.
This sensitive, kind-hearted, talented writer wrote three books about Ukraine, about the life of Ukrainians during the war, about animals that suffered during the full-scale invasion.
The book “Blue and Yellow Ribbon” is the voice of a woman who thinks about the war, not only as a writer, but as a person who empathizes. This is a book about pain, empathy and solidarity.
The Frenchwoman has visited Ukraine three times.
The guest was bombarded with questions. It is nice that the students of 7-I, 8-A, 9-A and 10-A spoke French well, the writer noted. The young musicians also congratulated. A student of 9-A grade Kolomiets Maria presented the guests with the French song “Je veux” (Zaz).
We are waiting for the translation of the writer’s books into Ukrainian.
We believe that we will continue our communication.
