Is participation in education, government, business and public organizations needed to achieve the goals of sustainable development? The question that was solved by the directors of the city schools during the panel discussion, with the participation of Olena Pashchenko, Deputy Chairman of the All-Ukrainian Ecological League, coordinator of educational and educational programs of the All-Ukrainian Children’s Union “Ecological Guard”, Natalia Fomina, chairman of the Cherkasy regional organization of the All-Ukrainian Ecological League, Lydia Kryshtop, eco-activists, heads of the public organization “Precious Lab” and Viacheslav Borovyk, a leading manager of the Ukrainian waste recycling company, which took place on the basis of the Cherkasy specialized school І-ІІІ degrees №3. Under the guidance of the moderator of the school’s director, Tetiana Tkachenko, the means of introducing sustainable development ideas in the educational process were presented. After the discussion the guests were invited to present the school ecological theater and the scientific picnic “The first steps of STEM-education” through experiments in six locations. School students presented the most affordable examples of energy saving and energy efficiency that were highly appreciated by school principals.
The workshop was attended by Yevhen Stepko, Head of Education Department, Iryna Tetiora, Deputy Head of Education Department, Inna Kosenkova, Head of the City Educational Institution of Education, and Tamara Khyzhniak, Deputy Head of MMK.
All the participants of the event today noted the harmonious and systematic work of the school workshop on sustainable development.
