November 13 is World Kindness Day
The annual celebration of World Kindness Day on November 13 has become a very good tradition for many countries, the date for which was chosen as the opening day in 1998 in Tokyo of the 1st World Kindness Movement Conference. World Kindness Day was officially established in Singapore on November 18, 2000 at the 3rd Conference of the Kindness Movement.
According to research by psychologists and doctors from different countries, people who do good deeds every day feel better physically, feel their life is more harmonious, have better immunity, which means they get sick less and live longer. And all this is even confirmed by practical research – when a person does something good to other people, his level of lymphocytes increases and blood vessels expand, this leads to the proper functioning of the heart; the brain produces a large number of endorphins (known as “hormones of pleasure”), which have a calming effect, neutralize the effects of stress, and relieve depression. Finally, sensitivity is accompanied by an elation bordering on euphoria, due to the production of the mood-regulating hormone serotonin.
Therefore, the students of the 2-B grade started their working week precisely with the Kindness lesson, which was held under the slogan “Do a good deed boldly.” The children got acquainted with the symbols of the holiday, interesting facts about the influence of good deeds on a person, discussed the meaning of good in the world, watched interesting cartoons. At the end of the lesson, each child made a heart of his good deeds.
Pupils of the 2nd grade participated in the “Kindness Lesson”. They discussed the concept of “kindness, kindness”, watched the cartoon “The Gift”, made an associative bush “Kindness”. Kindness boxes were painted and filled with kindness.
In the 1st grade, the educational event “With goodness in the heart” was held. The children made a card for Kindness Day and discussed what it means to be kind. Everyone was imbued with the saying “Sowing good is good and reaping good”.
Schoolchildren of 1-A were introduced to information about the World Day of Kindness. The children watched the cartoon and named useful things that first graders can do. They played with LEGO bricks in the game “Right – wrong” and received certificates for knowledge and application of the rules of kindness.
Pupils of the 2-A class created their own “Book of Kindness” and during the interactive game imagined themselves as super heroes who save the world by doing good.
Students of our school know that it is important to be an open, friendly, generous, selfless and kind person not only during the holiday, but in general in everyday life. True kindness is when you do good deeds just like that and do not expect thanks and kindness in return. It is this kind of goodness that will change the world for the better and contribute to the fact that the sincere love of people for each other reigns on the planet.
Let’s do good together!
